Choose your mode.
Then connect.
WARP mode
Creates an encrypted connection through Cloudflare’s network. For this guide, select WARP before turning on the connection switch.
1.1.1.1 mode
Encrypts DNS queries only. It is different from WARP mode. Speed and availability depend on your network; access to every website is not guaranteed.
A few things worth knowing.
Do I need a paid subscription?
Basic WARP is free. WARP+ is an optional paid service. You do not need to subscribe to complete the setup in this guide.
Why does the app ask for VPN permission?
WARP uses your device’s VPN interface to establish its connection. After checking that you installed the official Cloudflare app, allow the configuration when prompted. Your iPhone may ask for your passcode or device authentication.
What if it stays on Connecting?
Check that Wi-Fi or mobile data works, disconnect any other active VPN, and try reconnecting. You can also try another network or update the app. If the problem continues, consult Cloudflare’s official documentation.
What if Google Play is unavailable?
This page links to the official Google Play listing and does not distribute third-party APK files. Visit the official 1.1.1.1 website to check available download options.
How do I disconnect?
Open the app and turn off its connection switch. Turn it on again whenever needed. Running multiple VPN connections may cause conflicts.
